      About the Role

      Wellington Solutions designs and manages customized portfolios across multi-asset, equity, and quantitative investments. The team combines allocator, research, and implementation expertise to provide clients with integrated investment solutions. The team manages $36B across proprietary factor, hedged, and extended strategies. The team manages portfolios, conducts market and manager research, and partners with clients on investment solutions that pursue customized risk and alpha objectives. The team also provides bespoke research and advice across various topics such as fundamental factors, manager research, asset allocation, quantitative investing, and risk management.

      The Investment Analyst will work as part of a product coverage team led by an Investment Director. This product team works closely with the investment team, US Wealth sales teams, and business colleagues across the firm to support our clients’ investment needs. This position will be predominantly focused on supporting the commercialization and growth of a new and exciting strategic initiative providing solutions across public and private assets to the US wealth market. The product coverage team has two main objectives:

      PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING
      Contributing to client growth and retention by assessing business opportunities and leading business planning, developing new products and investment solutions, creating the communication strategy for the book of business, including materials that differentiate the product relative to competitors and acting as a subject matter expert and portfolio representative for colleagues, clients and consultants.

      BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
      Contributing to business management, including managing risk, capacity, pricing, and guidelines, leading the resolution of internal business challenges, and collaborating on product management business to share investment integrity, marketing and product development best practices.


      ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
      The primary focus of the role is to provide analytical leverage to the team as well as to serve as an internal expert and point of contact regarding the investment teams and products under coverage.

      Key responsibilities include:

      • Executing a high volume of ad hoc analysis and data requests for internal stakeholders and clients.

      • Supporting the efforts of the Solutions Directors, Client Portfolio Managers, and wholesalers focused on the commercial success of a new strategic initiative focused on public/private funds by creating and maintaining marketing and client materials.

      • Performing analyses related to portfolio positioning, performance and risk, market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing.

      • Familiarity with tools such as FactSet and Morningstar is a plus.

      • Automating workflows and collaborating on the development of client solutions and new investment approaches.

      • Integrating AI tools into workflows to enhance efficiency and insight generation.

      QUALIFICATIONS
      The Investment Analyst role is multi-faceted and requires demonstrated interest in investment topics, a passion for learning, as well as strong analytical skills. A positive, collegial attitude and high level of professionalism are essential, as are creativity, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines.

      Key qualifications for this role include:

      • 3–5 years of relevant experience; wealth management experience is a strong plus but not required.

      • Bachelor’s degree with very strong academic credentials.

      • Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to organize and synthesize data to reach conclusions.

      • Solid judgment, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take a differentiated perspective.

      • Proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong desire to own outcomes.

      • Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented mindset.

      • Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings.

      • Articulate, with an interest in developing and refining presentation skills over time.

      • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a global team.

      • Strong technical skills; mastery of MS Excel is required. Familiarity with FactSet, Morningstar, and AI tools is a plus.

      • Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize time effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

      • Grace under pressure with an ability to adapt to get things done.

      • A global perspective and/or language skills are viewed favorably but are not essential.

      • CFA designation is a plus but is not required.


      LOCATION
      The role will be based in Wellington’s Global Headquarters in Boston, MA, with potential flexibility for candidates based in New York.

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

      USD 65,000 - 150,000

      This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

      Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible .
