      Job Description
      Oppenheimer Asset Management is hiring an Investment and Reporting Analyst. This candidate will manage reports for due diligence analysts, support the due diligence function, and take on manager research coverage. Over time, the analyst is expected to take on increased research responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial markets and the asset management business. Prior experience with Bloomberg, Morningstar and Microsoft Office is preferred.

      Responsibilities:

      • Create and update reports for due diligence analysts and financial advisors to represent high conviction investment strategies
      • Participate in manager review calls and meetings in tandem with senior analysts
      • Put together research materials and write research notes for investment manager reviews and visits
      • Support the due diligence function via performance and risk analysis
      • Maintain databases and records of portfolio holdings and statistics
      • Manage risk analytic tools for strategic and tactical allocation decisions

      Qualifications:

      • Strong work ethic, high energy level and an eagerness to learn
      • Understanding of financial markets and the asset management business
      • Strong problem solver
      • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
      • Strong mathematical, analytical and quantitative skills
      • Excellent written and communication skills; ability to communicate complex concepts in clear and concise terms, and to link quantitative insight with business logic and intuition

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s Degree
      • 0-3 years of experience working in the financial markets (internship and/or full time experience)
      • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (VLookups, HLookups, organizing large amounts of data), Powerpoint
      • Preferred: Bloomberg and Morningstar experience

      Compensation:
      For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
