Position Summary:
We currently have an opening for an Investment Associate to work closely with the Chief Investment Strategist to help track and interpret developments in the global capital markets, formulate investment ideas, develop research publications and presentations, and assist in research projects. The Investment Associate will have an opportunity to help drive asset allocation recommendations and will work closely with Capital Markets Research providing support to development of research publications.
The Investment Associate will be expected to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on various investment topics and respond to requests for economic and financial data and exhibits. The Investment Associate will assist the Chief Investment Strategist in producing proprietary research and will participate in internal discussions on financial markets. Successful individuals in this position have a strong interest in investment research. They are resourceful, comfortable working with large data sets, committed to accuracy, customer service–oriented, capable of reading and summarizing investment literature, and willing to offer ideas and opinions on investment topics.
The Investment Associate will complete an in-depth training program and receive ongoing training and mentorship from the Chief Investment Strategist and Capital Markets Research. Because deep knowledge and experience are important for maximizing an IA’s time at C|A, we look for candidates who are interested in growing with our team for a minimum of 2-3 years.
Key Responsibilities:
· Actively follow developments in global financial markets Actively follow developments in global financial markets
· Work on research pieces alongside the Chief Investment Strategist, sourcing data, conducting data analysis, and preparing charts
· Support research, analysis, performance analytics, and presentations related to tactical asset allocation recommendations
· Identify and evaluate economic and financial data for research projects including discovery of new data sources and value-added research
· Assess data retrieved for data integrity
· Perform regular quality checks on data and analysis
· Create and update presentation materials
Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree; 2-4 years similar experience preferred; enrollment in the CFA program a plus
· Strong interest in researching different investment, capital markets, and macroeconomic topics
· High level of curiosity and motivation
· Strong quantitative analysis skills
· Exceptional attention to detail; careful attention to quality and accuracy
· Demonstrated ability to work well independently, to take direction, and to manage multiple projects
· Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
· Knowledge of investments, capital markets, and macroeconomics; background in these areas preferred.
· Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, and Thomson Reuters Datastream a plus
· Knowledge of a statistical package such as R, Python a plus

The base salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000. In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
