      Job Description

      KeyBanc Capital Markets is seeking a full-time investment banking analyst to support the Asset Backed Securitization (ABS) Group in New York City.

      About the Job

      Analysts in KBCM act as the primary day-to-day leaders for analytical support, including financial statement analysis; industry research; transaction surveillance and the preparation of various presentations, spreadsheets and documents including descriptive memoranda, management presentations, new business and other. Analysts interact daily with other bankers and clients, institutional investors, rating agencies, attorneys and accountants. Experienced Analysts learn to play more of an Associate role in helping manage transactions and interface directly in the transaction process. They play a central role in coordinating the activities of all team members.

      Essential Job Functions

      Work with ABS investment bankers and product partners on all aspects of term securitizations and other capital raising opportunities

      Help the ABS group support credit providers at Key that lend to prospects/clients

      Generate ideas and analytical materials in support of new client meetings

      Create PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets and other materials for client, rating agency, investor or internal use

      Maintain tracking spreadsheets on previously closed deals, monitor secondary trading trends and compile and maintain data on comparable structured finance transactions

      Required Qualifications

      Highly motivated and talented individual with the desire for a career in Investment Banking or Capital Markets

      Strong PowerPoint & Excel skills

      Proven ability to succinctly express ideas

      Demonstrated interest in corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, and financial markets

      Strong academic track record with coursework completed in the areas of Economics, Accounting and Finance

      Proven research skills

      Strong team player with a positive "can-do" attitude and desire to be part of a close-knit group operating in an intensive and challenging work environment

      COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

      • This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $105,000 to $125,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience, education, licenses, and certifications. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
