- Assisting with the origination and execution of domestic and international debt capital markets transactions
- Supporting client pitching and negotiation through the preparation of clear and succinct marketing materials, including market updates, pitch materials, pricing information and case studies
- Maintaining a current understanding of trends in the local and international leveraged finance and debt capital markets, and communicating this via market updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Interacting with client at junior levels
- Liaising with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. sector investment bankers, global debt syndicates, lawyers, compliance, accountants, other banks etc)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications – a well-rounded academic background is important. A degree in Economics or Finance is not essential, but a good level of understanding and interest is required
- Prior work experience in a banking front office, or related, role
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
- An understanding of the transaction cycle coupled with an execution oriented approach
- Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- Ability to successfully prioritize and deliver competing requirements
- Confident, assertive and articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Clear thinking and concise communication, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate utmost discretion and professionalism at all times
As an Analyst within the team, you will be responsible for working alongside and supporting senior members of the team to advise, market to and execute transactions for Australian corporations, financial institutions and private equity sponsors.
