      Janney’s Investment Banking Internship Program is a 10-week paid opportunity beginning June 2025 for students entering their senior year of undergraduate study who are on track to graduate in Spring / Summer 2026.

      Our Summer Intern program is designed to give participants an in-depth look into the dynamic world of investment banking. Summer interns work alongside our professionals, learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become valuable members of our transaction teams. Summer interns enjoy hands-on project experience, direct access to senior team members and are afforded the opportunity to participate in client meetings. Summer interns will also play an important research role, performing financial and strategic analysis on companies and industries relevant to our transaction work. Overall, this program provides an opportunity to gain exposure to investment banking practices and products, including complex domestic and cross-border mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity financings, minority and majority recapitalizations, restructurings, and advisory services including takeover defense, fairness and solvency opinions and valuations.

      Summer interns will be expected to:

      • Assist full-time team members in internal and external document creation
      • Prepare marketing documents, pitch materials, confidential information memoranda, board presentations, management presentations, etc.
      • Conduct financial and company due diligence and industry research
      • Create financial analyses
      • Develop contact databases
      • Prepare marketing materials and other activities relating to execution of transactions

      Program Eligibility Requirements:

      • Ability to work beyond a full-time (37.5 hours/week) work schedule
      • Minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.0
      • Full submission of application, including submission of resume and unofficial transcript, by April 17, 2024

      Required Skills:

      • Strong finance and accounting skills
      • Exceptional research, analytical and quantitative reasoning skills
      • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and motivation
      • Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a project or deadline-driven environment
      • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
      • Ability to collaborate effectively and be a contributing member of the team
      • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and quickly grasp concepts and information to apply to work assignments
      • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives while maintaining a sense of urgency
      • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
      • Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in extracurricular activities
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
      • Experience with Bloomberg or Capital IQ preferred
      • Desire for a career in the financial services industry
      • A strong work ethic, a great attitude and a demonstrated interest in the finance profession are also critical

      Required Experience:

      • Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited college/university and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree
      • Must be a rising Junior (graduating in Spring 2026)
      • Finance, Accounting, Business, and Economics majors preferred but not required
