- Research and develop expertise in multiple market sectors
- Build and maintain direct relationships with clients, prospects, and other professional advisors
- Quarterback execution of client transactions, including pre-marketing consultation, strategic planning, and business due diligence
- Collect business information and prepare confidential information memoranda and other marketing materials
- Business development, including direct outreach, event participation, networking, and prospect meetings
- Assist with content development for marketing efforts
- Assist in preparing proposals and engagement letters
- Manage and track multiple projects concurrently and communicate with the team and leadership
- Develop relationships with private equity firms and family offices
- Collaborate with HORNE Capital leadership to negotiate offers and execute on closing transactions
- Participate in financial due diligence with both private equity and strategic corporate buyers
- Work in partnership with other functional areas of the firm including tax, audit, and other consulting practices
- Participate in Firm’s practice development efforts including expanding services to clients
- Understand the Firm’s business on a day-to-day basis
- Assume individual responsibility to learn all new technology introduced by the Firm as appropriate for service/practice area
- Such other duties as may be assigned
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Prior investment banking or other relevant finance or accounting experience
- A strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field
- Knowledge of applicable technology or the ability to learn technology
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Banking, client management experience is a plus

Summary/objective
HORNE Capital is seeking a Manager for its sell-side investment banking practice to support group leadership in soliciting new business and running sell-side marketing processes for client transactions.
This position will lead the sell-side advisory services for owners and founders exiting their businesses. Our sell-side, investment banking services cover a large geographical area, and we are looking to expand our footprint and invest into growing our team.
The Manager will work with HORNE Capital leadership to provide transaction advisory services and other related investment banking and financial services.
