Pitch and execute debt transactions in Syndicated Bank, Institutional Loan, and High Yield Debt Capital Markets
Engage in Best Efforts transactions as well as in Corporate and Sponsor Underwriting activities for event-driven transactions
Participate in analyzing companies and their Capital Structure
Make recommendations to clients
Identify opportunities for process improvements within Investment Banking Program
Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium deliverables
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal and external customers
2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of Debt Capital Markets or Investment Banking Experience
Strong financial modeling skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively independently, as well as in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance; MBA or CFA a plus
Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
Registration FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.

Investment Banking Associates are an integral part of the Investment Banking team. This position is for a 1st or 2nd Year Associate role within Leveraged Finance Group. They are directly involved in the design, origination, structuring and execution of investment banking products and services for existing and prospective clients. Associates participate in client meetings, due diligence visits and other client interactions during which they gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers. The Associate provides these services as part of a team consisting of Analysts, Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managing Directors.
In this role, you will:This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
