      Scope

      The Financial Services Group is seeking to support its quickly growing Asset and Wealth Management practice with an experienced Investment Banking Associate or Vice President. Houlihan Lokey’s Asset and Wealth Management practice within the Financial Services Group offers M&A, capital raising, valuation, and corporate restructurings advice to public and private companies.

      We have extensive experience structuring a variety of minority and control transactions for private and public wealth and alternative asset managers, as well as one of the top practices for advising public permanent capital vehicles such as business development companies and mortgage real estate investment trusts in strategic transactions.

      Responsibilities

      Vice Presidents in the Financial Services Group support new business development and investment banking engagements, manage the execution of mainly mergers and acquisitions transactions, and assist with private capital markets and restricting transactions.

      They also develop expertise and build relationships with clients. Key contributions and expectations for this role include:

      • Focusing mainly on the asset and wealth management industry;

      • Leading a team of analysts and associates on various asset and wealth management related projects, including market and company financial analyses;

      • Directly managing sellside and buyside M&A engagements, including the preparation of confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations;

      • Building relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors;

      • Presenting pitches, analyses and presentations to clients such as founders, executives and boards of directors;

      • Overseeing the maintenance of marketing materials and trading and transaction comparables files;

      • Helping lead intern and lateral analyst and associate recruiting;

      • Mentoring and training interns, analysts and associates; and

      • Learning and developing directly under a team of experienced, seasoned investment banking leaders within the Asset and Wealth Management team.

      Basic Qualifications

      • Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance

      • 6+ years of relevant investment banking experience

      • An undergraduate degree, including an exemplary academic record, from an accredited institution

      • Strong analytical/quantitative and technical abilities

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      • Strong public speaking and presentation skills

      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously

      • Extensive operational, financial modeling, and valuation experience

      • Hands-on M&A experience

      • Transaction experience in the Asset/Wealth Management industry

      Salary Range

      Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation . The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:

      $250,000.00
