      Job Description

      Job Summary

      Investment Intern will provide support to several facets of Tricon's investment team including analysis, valuation, modeling, data validation and transaction management. Position will report to members of the Acquisitions Team, work collaboratively with many constituents across the organization and obtain valuable experience in various real estate workflows.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Work alongside the Investment Team to screen new Canadian multi-family and U.S. build-to-rent investment opportunities
      • Perform market research to monitor industry trends and their implications on both the existing portfolio and new opportunities
      • Assist market comparable rents/value and transaction precedent analyses
      • Assist in developing internal/external presentations, marketing materials, and discussion materials relating to new and existing opportunities
      • Assist in company due diligence investigations
      • Assist in preparation of monthly and other regular reporting responsibilities to our partners
      • Participate in the management and reporting of our Canadian operational asset, The Selby
      • Participate in the management and reporting of our U.S. build-to-rent assets
      • Participate in site visits to assess competitive landscape and market
      • Present Term Project (TBD) which will be relevant to ongoing responsibilities. This summary will be presented to the Investment Team at the end of the work term
      • Other duties as assigned

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Proven analytical skills, ability to problem solve and results / solution oriented
      • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership of projects, has strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
      • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment
      • Execution oriented and understands how to follow steps in a process
      • Extraordinary communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members, key stakeholders in a deal, and senior professionals
      • Can develop and articulate a point of view to colleagues verbally and in writing
      • High level of focus on work quality and attention to details

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Student in pursuit of a BA or BS (Economics, Finance, or Math preferred)
