The Role

The Investment Associate Internship Program is a great opportunity for those seeking to kick start a career as an investment professional. We view our Summer interns as valuable members of our investment teams with opportunities to return as full time Investment Associates upon graduation. Your experience will begin in a two-week accelerated training program focused on skills based development covering Portfolio Construction, Data and Analytics, Investment Research, Trading, and the impact of Macroeconomic factors on markets led by Lord Abbett investment professionals and industry experts. Thereafter, Summer Investment Interns will join as members of investment teams within either Taxable Fixed Income, Tax Free Fixed Income, Equities, Global Trading or Data Driven Insights. There may be opportunities to rotate across asset classes and/or industry coverage. Interns should expect social interactions with peers as well as networking with senior investment professionals across the organization. We’ll trust you to:

• Create and maintain financial models, valuation analysis, and written reports on companies, industry trends, and investment recommendations
• Support our experienced investment professionals in generating alpha for our clients through providing support for portfolio management decisions, portfolio construction understanding, undertaking research, or navigating a complex and digital active trading environment
• Prepare reports, opinions, recommendations, and presentations for use in the formulation of investment recommendations. This may include formulating industry reports, performing in depth company research by sector, or analyzing opportunities specific to an asset class.
• Leverage digital tools to innovate, streamline, and partner with digital and data teams to generate sustainable and unique investment insights
• Participate in formal and informal training designed to expand your knowledge as a future investment professional
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the broader investment team and with other Summer Interns

You'll need to have:

• Eligibility for full time employment in July 2025
• Outstanding academic background
• Passion for investing
• Superior analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to build and maintain strong relationships with the broader investment team
• Desire and effectiveness to work as part of a team

Compensation Information: Prorated share of the annual base salary of $100,000 for the duration of the internship.
