      Phlebotomist

      Job Description

      We are seeking skilled phlebotomists to join our team in a doctor's office setting, where you will be responsible for drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing. You will play a crucial role in the collection and receipt of biological specimens, ensuring their proper entry into our computer system, and preparing samples for analytical testing. This position includes responsibilities for both pre-analytical and post-analytical aspects of testing, and you will perform specific analytical tests as assigned. Adherence to our Code of Conduct is essential.

      Responsibilities

      • Draw blood from patients and handle specimen processing in a doctor's office setting.
      • Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
      • Enter specimen details accurately into the computer system.
      • Prepare samples for analytical testing.
      • Distribute specimens to the appropriate analytical area.
      • Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
      • Ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct.

      Essential Skills

      • Prior phlebotomy experience required.
      • Experience with blood draw and specimen collection.
      • Knowledge of laboratory and specimen processing.
      • Patient care experience.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • GED or high school diploma required.
      • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
      • Experience with Women's Care is a plus.
      • Strong personality and integrity valued.

      Work Environment

      This role is based in a doctor's office where you will work closely with medical assistants. The standard working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM. There is a career ladder in place, offering opportunities for growth and advancement, including becoming a Phlebotomy Technician 2 with a pay increase after six months.       Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
