- Prior experience in a well-coordinated team of attorneys and technologists.
- 3 to 5 years of prior experience and capability of independently handling Patent search & analytics projects including Prior art searches, IP Risk mitigation analysis, FTO & Invalidity searches, IP & Technology Landscapes, and competitor watch.
- Hands on experience of working with Patent databases & Patent searching tools (like Questel Orbit, Minesoft Patbase and Espacenet etc) | Should be capable of bringing project execution at speed.
- Ability to working on patent application drafting and prosecution for multiple jurisdictions are certainly a plus.
- Good understanding of the appropriate IP laws.
- Preferably a Patent and trademark agent.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, take initiative and be able to show great structure in your work.
- Expertise in working with MS-Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- Language skills: Excellent knowledge of English. Any additional language knowledge is a plus.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably but not necessarily Mechanical Engineering), physics or equal by experience.

Your role-
The Intellectual Property Team of Atlas Copco (GECIA) Compressor Technique is responsible for the protection of different aspects of Intellectual Property of the business areas Compressor Technique, Power Technique and the divisions making part thereof with their subsidiaries across the world. Atlas Copco (GECIA) is looking for an eligible candidate for the profile of IP Analyst for Pune Location.
IP Analyst are unique individuals who combine a deep knowledge of a technical area with a good understanding of intellectual property laws. We are looking for confident team players with strong technical and analytical skills, who can effectively manage various tasks and responsibilities and prioritize workflow in order to meet strict deadlines. The main responsibilities of an IP Analyst will include Conducting patent & non-patent literature searches including patentability searches, invalidity searches, clearance searches and other searches. Providing insightful analysis of search results from various sources by preparing and delivering timely, value-added patent search reports based on in-house established patent search procedures.
