What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Grade students’ discussion board posts, exams, and written assignments according to instructor-provided rubrics
- Assist in multiple courses, including LIS 102, LIS 440, and LIS 615, based on allocated hours
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding of course material
- Maintain detailed records of grading and communicate effectively with the instructor
- Participate in any relevant training or meetings as required by the department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a current Graduate Student
- Must have successfully completed the relevant course or possess knowledge of the subject
- Cannot be currently enrolled in the course being graded
- Excellent written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in grading
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in grading or academic support roles
- Familiarity with the specific courses listed (LIS 102, LIS 440, LIS 615)
- Strong organizational skills to manage grading across multiple courses
- Ability to provide feedback that supports student learning and engagement
