- Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in computer science, business administration, public administration, technology, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum one (1) year experience working with business and technical teams to assist with delivery and support of multiple applications and project delivery.
- Minimum one (1) year experience with Business Analysis or IT Project Management Certification in one or more of the following:
- Experience with project management, technical change management, and/or release management practices.
- Experience with Quality Assurance methodologies, test planning, leading functional testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Experience applying technical governance, prioritization practices and methodologies in relation to grooming product backlogs for delivery into a release.
- Experience providing business analysis in a complex technology environment to support system application changes or improvements.
- Experience utilizing business analysis methodologies and modelling techniques for business process mapping, eliciting business requirements, documenting, and translating business rules for technical / functional system changes.
- Experience providing business analysis and project leadership on high-risk strategic projects.

The Information Systems Branch (ISB) provides IM/IT strategy, planning, architecture, project support, application development, IT security, privacy, technology and information support services to four ministries: Attorney General, Public Safety and Solicitor General, Housing, and Emergency Management and Climate Readiness.
The Senior Business Analyst provides business analysis/consulting services and plan ongoing business and technology needs consistent with government and ministry strategic plans, system standards and interfacing requirements. Provides expert advice to senior staff and leads multiple project teams.
