      The Team
      The Enterprise Architecture Team is a group of seven senior architects specializing in solution, network, data, and application architecture. Distributed across BC, many team members work remotely, collaborating with the BC Judiciary, Police, and other partners to guide IT projects in Justice, Public Safety, Housing, and Emergency Management. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring fair and equitable access to services, helping communities across the province.       The Role
      As a Senior Technical Architect, you'll play a key role in shaping IM/IT solutions that serve a wide range of clients, from ministry staff to citizens, ensuring they meet government standards and legislation. Your work will help create fair access to court services, fast support during emergencies, and better housing options for people across BC. This is an exciting opportunity to work with both established and cutting-edge technologies, continuously learn, and solve meaningful challenges. With a distributed, inclusive team, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely while still connecting for team events throughout the year.

      Qualifications:
      Education and Experience Requirements

      • Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science field.
      • An equivalent combination of education and work experience in IM/IT may be considered.
      • A minimum of five (5) years of related IM/IT work experience.
      • Experience with application development projects using modern software development approaches including agile software development.
      • Experience architecting multi-component solutions and integrating multiple solution components using APIs.
      • Experience directing and providing technical advice to work teams or contractors.


      Preference may be given to applicants with:

      • Experience with Cloud-Native application development and associated technologies (containers, CI/CD, microservices, software-defined networking).
      • Experience with any of the following: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics or AWS
      • Experience in a local, provincial, or federal government environment.
