      Job Title: Systems Engineer


      Job Description

      The selected candidate will provide technical and engineering support services for ISP development and approval, focusing on DoD and especially Army networks, radios, information systems, standards, and waveforms.

      Responsibilities

      • Provide technical and engineering support services for ISP development and approval.
      • Work with ISPs and NR KPPs using the DISA Joint Assessments and Standards Management (JASM) toolset.
      • Interface with Army Acquisition Programs, DISA, the Joint Chief of Staff J6, and The Army G6.
      • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, and plan military weapons and other systems ISPs and NR KPPs.
      • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses and other technical documentation.
      • Coordinate for approval of ISPs and NR KPPs.
      • Translate functional requirements of military systems from operational to system solutions and architectures.
      • Complete data and information in the JASM for military systems.
      • Recommend and prepare schedules and work requirements to develop ISPs and NR KPPs.
      • Familiarity with DoD standards; DoD, Joint Staff, and Army CIO policy; and DoD CIO, Joint Staff, and Army Instructions and Directives related to NR KPP, ISP, and information, communication, and network areas.

      Essential Skills

      • Experience writing ISPs, including creating documents that outline a system's dependencies and interface requirements for communication systems such as radios and antennas.
      • Exposure to the JASM tool for creating and modifying ISPs.
      • Familiarity with C5ISR/C4ISR military communications protocols within military ground vehicles.
      • Familiarity with NR KPP requirements for DoD systems.
      • ABET accredited BS Degree with Information Support Plan (ISP) experience and 8 years of overall experience.
      • Experience with planning and execution, document development, and management.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • Familiarity with DoD communications, information, and computer systems and processes.
      • Familiarity with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and/or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
      • Competence in MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, and MS Project.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • U.S. Citizenship is required.
      • Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret security clearance.

      Work Environment

      This role is fully remote for out-of-state candidates with a preference for on-site presence. It requires 10-15% travel to the Arsenal in Warren. The position offers a great work/life balance with minimal overtime.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $67.31 - $96.15/hr.
