Responsible for managing a team including work plan development, performance management, and resource development
Work within Connected Technology (CT) business unit and with Toyota Connected (TC) to develop and implement new Release & Problem Management Strategy
Responsible for end-to-end release process for Connected systems and applications
Responsible for partnering with other groups/teams to understand development, integration, and testing activities, including project management-related tasks as needed.
Act in a leadership role to guide team members, manage vendor engagements, collaborate with internal teams to implement technology solutions to business challenges and opportunities, manage day-to-day release and problem-management activities, and provide constructive advice and problem-solving
Scheduling, managing, and coordinating releases across multiple applications within various portfolios across different teams and projects; Constructing a release calendar for the different projects to have a centralized view of all releases
Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule
Ensuring all team members are adhering to engineering best practices as well as enforcing DevOps policies
Facilitating and coordinating technical problem review meetings includes leading and facilitating postmortem investigations of critical incidents, and managing root cause analysis between technical teams
Develop processes and procedures to define, capture, and document problems
Ensure problems are properly prioritized with development teams
Recording, managing, and advancing the problem by escalating to an elevated level of expertise, if appropriate, by integrating with Product Owners, incident management, and engineering teams
Create, lead, and manage newly Problem Review Board (PRB)
Participate in weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly (and ad-hoc) operations, incident management, and defect management meetings
Proven experience with ITIL best practices
Experience developing and implementing new Release & Problem Management Strategies Demonstrated leadership success and managing a team of Engineers
Successful track record of priority customer care
Ability to develop & sustain strong strategic relationships with internal & external business partners
ITIL Certification

In this role, you will be responsible for the release, problem, and change management consisting of team members, Technical Operations, Analysts, and developers who are responsible for ensuring successful production software releases. Additionally, this team will be responsible for the identification and tracking of problems/defects and applying Toyota Business Practices (TBP). The Manager will be responsible for the release management lifecycle including scheduling and coordinating releases across Connect Technologies. Lead Release and Problem Management are responsible for ensuring quality software releases & problem management for all connected mobile apps and systems.
