  Job mission

  • We are offering an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic personality with a close affinity to IT & Lab Automation. As an IT & Lab Automation Specialist you will be part of our Belgian organisation, mainly focusing on our customers in the Brussels Region or Flanders .

  • Our customers are leading hospitals and private laboratories in Belgium. Ideally you have at least 2 years of experience working with a Lab IT middleware or LIS connected to the hospital. For example, you have some experience in a clinical lab environment by working in the lab or you have a bachelor degree in information technologies with experience in a clinical lab.

  • You are a true team worker with a passion for serving customers with new Lab IT software implementations. You enjoy working in a team that has a strong motivation for customer satisfaction and team collaboration. You will team up with a large group of experts active in sales, marketing and technical service, locally and internationally.

  • In this role, you will be based in the Flemish speaking region mainly. Although we want you to be flexible and willing to travel within our country as you will spend up to over 60 to 70% of your time with our Belgian customers. Your workplace is flexible, you can combine working at customer sites with some homework; or meeting your colleagues in our offices in Diegem.   Your impact

  • You ensure configuration of our Roche Lab IT middleware solutions and support the implementation of the lab workflow adaptations according to customer expectations.

  • You act as responsible for the preparation and implementation and follow-up of your projects that you will be responsible for.

  • You support our sales and marketing colleagues on the advertising of our advanced Lab IT solutions at the customer sites by understanding and translating the features and benefits.

  • You build strong customer relationships by providing a technical support and training in the RDB training centre or at the customer site.

  Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and a strong motivation in IT middleware; or relevant experience in the laboratory IT middleware or LIS with an Information Technology degree. Knowledge on connectivity and network support is an asset.

  • You are eager to be part of projects involving implementation, validation, training and problem solving of our Roche Lab IT solutions.

  • You feel comfortable to train a small or a mid-size audience. Transferring your knowledge about lab automation is energising you.

  • You are at ease with verbal and written communication in multiple languages, where Dutch is your native language with a good knowledge of English. French can be a strong asset.

  • You have a flexible mindset and you are able to set your priorities according to your customers’ needs. This also means that you have a great ability to actively listen in order to meet your customers’ expectations.

  • You have a sense of responsibility in order to achieve the company's objectives, while respecting its vision and values.
