- Responsible for supporting and enhancing software and/or data analytics solutions. Tasks involve designing, modifying, developing, testing, configuring and implementing programs, scripts, processes and procedures (or decommissioning the same).
- Learns the tools and platforms used by the team; learns and applies the team’s standards and processes; learns and the business area’s processes, applications and objectives; applies analytical skills and consults with others to solve problems; develops sound execution plans to complete tasks and/or solve problems; provides day to day client support as experience and expertise allow; builds relationships within IT; contributes to the team’s success through individual contribution and collaboration.
- Develops and uses a variety of IT skills across four main disciplines or areas of emphasis: Systems Analysis & Administration, Software Engineering & Development, Project Management & Delivery and Data Analytics & Architecture.
- 24x7 on-call support is required on a rotating basis.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, or Engineering is preferred (May 2024 Graduates will be considered). Successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship will also be considered.
- Experience in .Net web and web service development (C# or C++.Net), MVC architecture, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript and HTML is desired.
WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an IT Applications Analyst - Developer in our Milwaukee, WI and Green Bay, WI locations. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the office.
This is a job family (Associate IT Applications Analyst/IT Applications Analyst/Senior IT Applications Analyst) posting where the experience of the selected candidate will determine the level offered.Job Summary
The IT Applications Analyst (Developer) enables and facilitates business success through the application of Information Technology principles, practices and software solutions in partnership with our business clients. The IT Applications Analyst works on software applications, databases, deliverables and issues of a defined scope leveraging established patterns.
They are responsible for deploying and supporting business critical systems related to the delivery of energy to our customers. The systems supported include a mixture of vendor and in-house developed applications primarily utilizing Microsoft development tools. This position requires close working relationships with business clients to identify needs and determine usable solutions.
