SOMETHING EPIC IS HAPPENING WITH MOUNT SINAI and FIU
We are currently recruiting for Information Technology professionals to join our team and engage immediately with the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) initiative.

Opportunities: We are continually increasing adoption and expanding the tools and features available through the use of an EHR. This year, we are focusing on areas such as revenue cycle management, system interoperability, population health management, and health analytics. In addition, there is a continual need to maintain and enhance our Information Technology systems already in place areas such as: physician practices, radiology, lab, pharmacy, E.R., O.R., anesthesia, clinical documentation, orders, device integration, reporting, informatics/analytics and much more!
What does the position entail?
þ Address emerging hospital patient safety, quality of care, and improved patient outcome
initiatives in addition to system enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance.þ Oversee the full lifecycle management of clinical applications.
þ Opportunities for travel to earn EPIC Certifications.
þ Learn different IT clinical systems including EPIC, our Electronic Health Care Record.
Sample projects
l Work side by side with nurses and physician leaders in the development of evidence based electronic order sets.
l Device integration between biomedical equipment and the EHR for nurses and physicians (Ex: Pt. vital signs).
l Analyze, document, and design a new electronic workflow for emerging physician practices currently using paper.
l Develop or update existing hospital workflows to meet new regulatory EHR incentive programs.
l Work along the business office to update hospital reimbursement contracts and automate refund transactions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or currently enrolled at an accredited college/university, pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS in a related analytical field with a GPA >3.0
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Demonstrates analytical/problem solving skills
