      Description

      Position Summary

      IT Business Sr. Analyst is lead assigned to analyze, troubleshoot, test, and develop business processes and/or procedures within assigned section. Ensures that developed software meets and complies with defined quality specifications. Completes verification and validation process to evaluate whether the developed software meets the specified requirements for the specific phase and business requirements.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Lead development of application standards, taxonomy, and best practices, and promote acceptance of adopted standards.
      • Provide project status reports as defined by project communication plans.
      • Plan and execute verification and validation processes to evaluate whether the software meets the specified business requirements. Specify the required test data and evaluate the outcome of the testing conducted in each test cycle.
      • Coordinate with application developers at various points in the system life cycle.
      • Train business partners with instructions regarding current or new functionalities.
      • Document all stages of a project including requirements analysis, risks, configuration, testing, and procedures.
      • Administer current system and business processes including analyzing and modifying complex system configuration to meet new requirements, resulting from enhancements, system fixes, a major upgrade, or new initiatives approved by executives or the Board.
      • Assist or lead the implementation of new systems including product evaluation, gathering of requirements, and conducting fit-gap analyses.
      • Maintain and enhance business applications using application configuration capabilities built into business application platforms.
      • Evaluate, analyze, plan, and implement systems and procedures that ensure processes and procedures comply with organizational, state, and federal governing rules and regulations.
      • Troubleshoot functional system problems reported by end users and provide answers and solutions. Assess and suggest effective and more efficient ways to accomplish tasks or to improve client experience.
      • Write complex reports and data extracts to provide relevant and significant information for end-users, including metrics and analytics data, using a variety of software tools.
      • Plan, administer and support complex and major recurring business processes.
      • Ensure that the security policies, standards, and procedures are accurately represented as requirements in any new or ongoing business solution the organization is developing.
      • Help the business properly implement security tools.
      • Perform related work as required.

      The following disciplines fall under this job description:

      • This section focuses specifically on ServiceNow administration. This work includes working with workflow automation tools and reporting platforms, managing ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change), CMDB, and Catalog Management within ServiceNow, and serving as a key liaison with developers, technical teams, and stakeholders during all system lifecycle phases and assist with integration and automation projects, including scripting (JavaScript) and API usage.

      Qualifications

      Minimum Requirements

      Education and Experience

      • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
      • Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
      • Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position.

      Preferred Experience for Information Technology: ServiceNow Administrator

      • Minimum 3 years working with the ServiceNow platform (including ITSM, CMDB, and Catalog Management) preferred.
      • Minimum 4 years with IT infrastructure and enterprise application support preferred.
      • Minimum 2 years of experience with solution configuration, validation, and deployment preferred.

      Licenses, Registration, and Certifications

      • Must complete required HIPPA training within the first 6 months of hire.
      • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
      • At least 1 year SQL databases experience preferred.
      • ITIL Certification preferred.
