Job Description and Requirements

Working independently, the IT Core Services Solutions Engineer is responsible for the management, planning, development, designing, and upgrading, of the core banking system, FinTech applications, RPA platform, and dev-ops systems for these application platforms. Design and integrate procedures of the multi-tier core banking system, and associated applications integrated with the core banking system; performs diagnostic testing and software installation; responds to after-hour calls; and performs related duties as required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provides Level 3 technical support and design for several complex systems/platforms, including the multi-tier core banking platform, RPA platform, enhanced teller machine (ETMS), check processing systems, reporting systems (s/CRM system), dev-ops systems, batch automation systems, api integration systems, loan origination systems, strategic marketing systems, and all non-prod core environments. Provides 24x7 on-call support for these systems.

• Administer an enterprise multi-tier application with IIS, .NET, and Oracle components supporting end users and custom and commercial application interfaces.

• Troubleshoot system issues utilizing application, operating system, network and database logs to pinpoint possible root cause and formulate resolutions.

• Provide technical expertise for high-level system analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex applications with a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills.

• Monitors transaction logs and modifies programs to ensure maximum efficiency to Identify, communicate, and manage risks associated with projects.

• Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity/availability of server resources, systems and key processes.

• Deliver solutions and troubleshoot complex problems with a variety of technologies, Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues.

• Support the transition of strategic application projects from architecture inception to project realization including assisting in the development of business cases.

• Create/articulate infrastructure solution architectures that meet business requirements, encompassing the business, application, data and infrastructure elements of the solution.

• Identify opportunities to upgrade, stabilize or improve existing infrastructure services to ensure on-going high performance and supportability, and evaluate emerging technologies.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in a closely related field

• In lieu of associate’s degree, two years of related experience and two years server/application support or development experience working with a server/application administration team

• Minimum of one year job related work experience

• Experience working in the financial industry

• Knowledge of server software packages/operating systems

• Basic knowledge of MS infrastructure services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, IIS and DNS) and how those services support/ interact with applications and systems

• Knowledge of SQL and oracle as well as basic network knowledge

• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written); ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other RBFCU employees

Preferred:

• Maintain working knowledge of network, data center, and financial services system operations management, Hands on experience with FiServ/Open Solutions DNA; experience with tMagic, DNA Publisher and for DNA CMC

• Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related field
