      Are you ready to take the next step in your career and join the Caribbean Management Board as the IT Director? This leader will serve as the technical lead representing all technology initiatives. The successful hire will be the principal liaison between DHL Express and the DHL IT Services organization and other IT vendors. They will consult with the business units on development of projects of significant scope and cost.

      Reporting to the CIO of DHL Express Americas and based in Plantation, FL, the leader who can thrive in this role will manage every aspect of the IT function across the

      Caribbean. You will identify and recommend process or cost improvements and execute Global IT Strategy in the Caribbean. You will be responsible for deploying global systems and developing and supporting local applications, all while ensuring they meet Caribbean-specific business needs. You will identify, propose, and influence business solutions; expand usage of ecommerce tools; manage telecoms; and handle recovery procedures in case of IT incidents.

      In this pivotal role, you will be the reference and driving force for any type of process/customer experience improvement needed to support the growing B2C segment of the business. You will be responsible for maximizing ROI on IT spend by managing and negotiating project budgets and ensuring successful project completion.

      You will also be expected to play an active role supporting the Caribbean CEO and your functional

      colleagues as a member of the Caribbean Management Board.

      How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

      As a Passionate IT professional, you will use your skill, influence, and enthusiasm to:

      Define country's IT strategy in line with country’s business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies

      Direct preparation and execution of IT plans, roadmaps. and migration strategy for IT platform/infrastructure and applications

      Control adherence to IT governance mechanisms, optimize operational quality and consistency of the IT systems for the country within overall corporate guidelines

      Monitor performance and build relations with IT service providers for operational success

      Lead planning and delivery of all major IT projects including integration projects at the country level

      Monitor and support deployment of customer application tools in the Caribbean

      Formulate and communicate IT policies, performance measures and standards enabling
      effective measurement of performance

      Ensure high level of technical expertise and services is rendered to the business in the fields of: IT infrastructure, information security management, IT service performance

      • Support DHL Express in IT processes visible to customers
      • Develop medium and long term IT planning
      • Consistently estimate and analyze the value of key global technologies and develop strategic change plans
      • Develop the blueprint organization for the IT function to exploit scale economies while safeguarding the business performance
      • Develop and maintain a motivated IT team of competent managers and staff
      • Evaluate the performance of direct reports and ensure that the same is done for the other members of the IT team

      Do you have what it takes?

      Minimum of 10 years of Information Technology experience

      Proven executive level experience leading teams and delivering strong results with effective leadership

      • Experience leading complex business solutions for our external and internal customers
      • Proven functional leader with excellent written and oral communication skills
      • Able to work effectively within a global, multi-cultural, and transformative context
      • Bachelor or Master in Business Administration, Information Technology, Logistics or similar field or equivalent practical experience
