Summary

The IT Director of Operations will embody the Apex Technology core values and mission, leading the rapid growth and execution of the organization, where the primary goal will be to increase our organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability. The Director of Operations will advise the CEO on key operational insights and formalize repeatable processes that can help the expansion of the business and drive operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels.
• Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
• Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are achieved.
• Utilize industry experience to identify and execute revenue growth strategies.
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication while ensuring effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
• Lead and influence diverse teams during change and growth, while maintaining cooperation, motivation and cohesiveness in a lean environment.
• Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Design and implement business strategies, while optimizing operational process, ensuring efficiency and scalability, and consistent service delivery.
• Uphold and strengthen the Apex company culture, values and mission throughout periods of rapid growth and change.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation with the company operations.
• Ensure the Apex brand identity and customer-centric approach remain consistent as the business scales.
• Grow and improve efficiency of existing company operations while continuously seeking ways to optimize resource allocation, manage costs and reduce overheads.
• Manage relationships with all stakeholders and partners required for efficient day-to-day operations.
• Demonstrate expertise in organizational development, while monitoring financial health of the business to identify potential risks and make data driven growth decisions.

Skills & Experience

• Ten or more years proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or relevant role.
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure, MSP industry experience required.
• BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
• Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
• Understanding of advanced business planning.
• Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
• Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential solutions.
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership team and employees.

Physical Requirements

Work is primarily knowledge-worker oriented using computer systems. Occasional exertion and lifting of up to 20 pounds to move office or computer equipment. Occasional crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Constant use of computer (keyboard/mouse), and phone. Visually inspects, prepares, and analyzes data & figures; views computer constantly. Occasional travel (car). Occasional exposure to outdoor environmental conditions as a result of travel.
