- Design, implement, and maintain district-wide network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN architecture, Wi-Fi systems, and VoIP telecommunications
- Oversee deployment and maintenance of security camera systems across all campuses
- Ensure network connectivity and proper integration for building automation systems
- Manage and maintain network printing infrastructure and operations
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and replacement of servers, workstations, network devices, and related infrastructure
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2019/2022)
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, and access controls
- Oversee system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity planning
- Monitor system performance and capacity planning
- Implement and maintain virtualization platforms
- Support implementation of NIST and CIS framework controls
- Perform system hardening and security configurations
- Monitor and maintain firewall systems and security appliances
- Assist in security incident response and investigation
- Participate in cybersecurity assessments and remediation efforts
- Monitor network security and conduct regular vulnerability assessments
- Manage and support PowerSchool student information system
- Administer Google Workspace for Education environment, including user management, security settings, and domain configurations
- Implement and maintain automated roster synchronization between PowerSchool, Google Workspace, and curriculum platforms
- Manage single sign-on (SSO) integrations for educational applications
- Support integration of digital curriculum platforms with district systems
- Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for local, state, and federal requirements
- Maintain data integrity and security across all platforms
- Provide database administration support for district applications
- Collaborate with curriculum teams to implement and support educational technology tools
- Manage student and staff account provisioning and deprovisioning processes
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for district staff
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on district technology systems
- Document technical procedures and maintain system documentation
- Participate in technology planning committees and initiatives
- Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and support tasks
- Professional Development/Continuing Education on Educational Technology
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Active Directory management
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and framework implementations
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to maintain knowledge of emerging technologies
- Strong commitment to customer service and support

- Understanding of educational technology needs and applications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field OR
- Three years of experience in system administration and network management, including:
- Windows Server platforms (2019/2022)
- Network infrastructure management
- Security systems administration
- Database management
- Experience in K-12 educational technology environment
- Professional certifications such as:
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA)
- Network certifications (CCNA, Network+)
- Security certifications (Security+)
- Educational Technology (CETL)
- Experience with PowerSchool or similar student information systems
- Experience with Google Workspace for Education administration
- Experience with automated rostering systems (OneRoster, Clever, etc.)
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Project management experience
- Experience with cloud technologies and services
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, lift, and carry items up to 40 pounds
- This is a Heavy Duty job, according to the U.S. Department of Labor and Industry standards
- May require working in various environmental conditions and spaces (server rooms, crawl spaces, etc.)
- May require occasional work outside of regular business hours for system maintenance and updates

Salary: $68,952 - $75,370, benefits eligible - Non Union Exempt Salary Matrix (Lane 1, Step 1-5 DOE)
Calendar: 260 work days + 9 holidays + 3 personal
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Optional Retirement, State Retirement (PERS), Vacation and Sick leave per MCA, Group Life, LTD.

Overview
The IT Facilitator coordinates and oversees technical operations for Kalispell Public Schools, reporting directly to the IT Director. This position ensures the effective implementation, maintenance, and support of the district's technology infrastructure through collaboration with IT staff and external vendors. The role coordinates activities across networks, security systems, and educational technology platforms while providing technical guidance and oversight. Success in this position requires a strong foundation in technical operations, cybersecurity practices, and educational technology integration, combined with ongoing professional development to stay current with emerging technologies. The IT Facilitator provides technical leadership and mentoring to IT support staff while maintaining strong working relationships with administrators, teachers, support staff, and vendors.
