      Job Description

      Job Summary:

      Interact and participate with various divisions within Walgreens to assist in influencing key technology decisions. Assist with and complete projects that contribute to the strategic initiatives and goals of the infrastructure department.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Participate on project teams to develop innovative, high-quality technology solutions.
      • Collaborate in developing requirements analysis and implementing technology recommendations.
      • Expand your skill set by utilizing industry standard technology.
      • Provide support across the various divisions within Walgreens.
      • Suggest recommendations to leadership to improve and update policies and processes.
      • Collaborate with fellow interns to deliver a department project and present as a group to leadership upon completion.
      • Assist with the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and applications, including monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal performance and uptime at both Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) support tiers.
      • Help define business and end-user needs and processes; collaborate on solutioning and work with project teams for implementation.

      External Basic Qualifications

      • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, with 2 semesters remaining upon start date.
      • Excellent communication skills utilizing written reports and experience presenting the information in a formal or classroom setting.
      • Proficiency collaborating with teams or group projects.
      • Basic level skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Previous internship or work experience in a related field.
      • Familiarity with IT applications, infrastructure, and operations
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Knowledge of coding and automation technologies.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Familiarity with Scrum and Project Management methodologies and practices, e.g., SDLC, Agile, etc.

      Responsibilities may include: receiving, scanning, picking, packing, auditing and shipping merchandise to the customer. Tracks all inbound and outbound items through radio frequency (RF) scanning to ensure accountability in inventory. Verifies orders and ensures entry into the inventory management system. Operates a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all areas of the warehouse are well maintained, kept orderly and free of debris. Maintains quality standards set forth by warehouse management.
