- Leads cross-functional teams to assess needs, analyze business processes, and define technical specifications for IT systems.
- Develops and secures approval for comprehensive project plans, including scope, deliverables, resources, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversees vendor selection by managing RFP/RFI processes and leading bid evaluations and selection committees.
- Prepares and monitors complex project budgets, tracks spending, and ensures financial compliance across multiple funding sources.
- Coordinates and directs consultants and project staff, assigns responsibilities, and ensures technical competency.
- Facilitates planning and implementation meetings, communicates milestones, and provides technical leadership and problem-solving.
- Analyzes and implements changes to project scope, timeline, resources, and budget as needed.
- Ensures compliance with IT industry standards and organizational protocols; manages project risks and crisis responses.
- Maintains quality assurance for deliverables and manages project closure tasks, including lessons learned reviews.
- Provides leadership and oversight to junior project managers, assigns work, and contributes to performance management.
- Helps define and implement project management methodologies and best practices across the organization.
- Collaborates with IT program managers and executive leadership to align technology projects with strategic goals.
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Excel, and Visio for design and documentation
- Extensive experience of inside and outside plant (ISP/OSP) cabling.
- Experienced in managing end-to-end IT infrastructure projects, including structured cabling, data centers, and network systems.
- Strong background in project documentation, stakeholder communication, and aligning technical design with construction timelines.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: Four (4) years of experience managing medium to large sized information technology projects to include experience at the type and level of the IT Project Manager II.
- Education and Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
