      Overview

      The Summer 2025 IT Internship program will run from Monday, June 3 - Friday, August 16, 2025. Full-time hours (40 hours a week), Monday - Friday, regular/daytime business hours.

      Information Technology interns will be assigned to a team within IT based on their skills, experience, interests, as well as current business needs. Interns will work on assigned projects while benefiting from healthcare IT experience and close collaboration with knowledgeable professionals and technology leaders. Additionally, interns will support the IT staff with software, hardware and other technology tasks and issues. They will have the opportunity to attend team and department meetings.

      We are looking at hiring up to 15 interns in various IT spaces:

      IT security Analyst: Working with Tier 1 apps with PHI/PII/PCI, assist with creating Dashboards and reporting for IT KRIs, and assist with Risk Register enhancements including populating risk items and reporting, cybersecurity operations activities, operational investigation and projects, KRI metrics creation

      Application Analyst: The analyst provides on-Site Support, Documentation Creation/Management, Application Onboarding/Packaging, General Technology Support, Participate in Strategic Projects

      • Attending meetings with Lab, Cardiology, and Enterprise Imaging departments, suggesting and identifying areas for improvements, taking meeting notes, and documenting feedback, and looking at organization benefits
      • Epic Business Continuity Access (BCA) program activities review and maintenance of downtime materials, SharePoint Site updates, and annual audits, clean ups, and other related tasks

      Web/App Development Analyst: Tuning up location pages, completing sites visits, user research, developing wire frames or creating copy, provider bio improvements, and other related tasks.

      IT Security Analyst: Identity clean-up, SailPoint to clean-up cube and associated application access in a partial leaver state, automation, provisioning tasks, adding, modifying, and removing access, working with sensitive data/information

      On Site Support Analyst: Imaging, installation deployment, troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, operating systems, application software, IP phones, analog interfaces and services, printers, peripherals (new and upgrades) on both a one-off and project basis, document, track, and monitoring requests/problems, first level, cabling configuration and support for network and phone issues, and helping resolve end-user resolution and satisfaction.

      Automation & AI Analyst: Look to enhance automation capabilities, work with teams to document standard work and looking for opportunities to automate, build digital workers/bots

      Data Analyst: Optimizing IT intern program processes and analytics, maintain Sharepoint site, develop external website, coordinate with intern program activities, automation of IT onboarding processes, bot-a-thon coordination and participation

      • Collaborating with senior leadership to prepare for new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, optimizing workflows
      • Gather requirements for financial operations projects, utilize data, demonstrate value and impact of projects to the business
      • Identify, Collect, organize performance data, develop performance statistics, and critical thinking to position data
      • Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

      Responsibilities Job Description

      • Under general direction and mentorship from IT leaders, deliver on work you're doing, which could include:
      • Gathering, analyzing, and detailing business requirements, procurement and deployment of new software and hardware, definition and implementation of processes.
      • Understand the business issues that need to be solved and assist in identifying potential solutions that help address business needs.
      • Develop solid grasp in systems, processes and data relating to the assigned area or project. Continually improve analysis skills via on the job learning and standard methodologies.
      • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with technology teams and business partners. Work efficiently to ensure that solution delivery is timely, within cost estimates and meets business needs.
      • Fairview will provide a laptop to each intern to use during the duration of their internship. The intern must maintain the confidentiality of information gained as a result of internship.

      IT Interns are required to complete system required learning relevant to the role and follow all relevant laws, regulation, and policies.


      Qualifications

      Required Qualifications

      Education

      Enrolled as a full-time or part-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate degree with a minimum cumulative 3.0 Grade Point Average.

      Completing a degree in one of the following: computer science, math, management information systems or business management.

      Experience

      Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio)

      Preferred Qualifications

      Experience within the healthcare industry

      Previous IT Internship experience

      Technical skills including software development lifecycle

      Shown leadership, strong initiative and decision-making skills
