      Your opportunity

      • Collaborate with second-line Operational Risk business partners, ensuring compliance and alignment with JHI’s Operational Risk framework
      • Liaise with audit (internal and external) and internal stakeholders to assist in audit coordination activities and issue resolution
      • Guide the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures, ensuring that activities are consistent with objectives, operating model and organizational strategy
      • Support the identification and documentation of risks and control weaknesses, and mitigation of those risks and weaknesses
      • Assess, monitor, and control the Technology risk portfolio
      • Implement effective IT Risk Management practices in collaboration with key partners such as Operational Risk, Information Security and Compliance
      • Make recommendations to the Global Head of IT Risk, IT leadership, appropriate risk governance committees and line-of-business managers, concerning IT-risk-related controls and processes
      • Work towards industry recognized Risk Management certification
      • Carry out other duties as assigned

      Must have skills

      • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft office tools (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint and Teams)
      • Ability to quickly learn and apply new knowledge and skills, through both on-the-job experience and formal education
      • High level of personal integrity, especially while handling confidential and otherwise sensitive matters, professionally and with the appropriate level of judgment and maturity
      • Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, and across time-zones
      • Initiative, dependability, and ability to plan and organize time and tasks effectively
      • Ability to work well as a team member, as well as independently
      • Ability to both lead and collaborate, to be a problem solver and facilitator of people and processes, as well as an effective internal consultant
      • Attention to detail and accuracy

      Nice to have skills

      • Familiarity with Operational Risk Management key concepts, and experience of Risk analysis and control assessment techniques
      • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on IT- or IT-related discipline, or 1-3 years of experience in an IT related field (e.g. apprenticeship or military) desirable
      • Keeping up to date with industry and regulatory changes and professional standards.
      • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of Janus Henderson Investors’ business, market and industry and relate that knowledge to job role

      Compensation information

      The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

      Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
