At AkzoNobel, we're seeking an accomplished and driven Controller to collaborate closely with our Global IT Operations leadership team. What You’ll Do
Strategic Partnership: You'll be the go-to finance expert for the Head of IT Operations, working together to define functional goals and translating them into tangible financial plans. Your financial acumen will play a pivotal role in achieving strategic capex, opex, working capital, and structural savings goals.
Data-Driven Insights: Dive into the financial performance of Global IT Operations, providing meaningful analysis on a regular basis. Your insights will drive critical decision-making for projects and initiatives, contributing to the success of the entire organization.
Performance Enhancement & Transformation Catalyst: Embrace change and drive digitalization efforts within the Functional Control team and beyond. Your proactive involvement in projects will enhance Performance Management, efficiency, and innovation across the finance community. You'll be at the forefront of harmonization, standardization, and process automation, driving efficiency gains and continuous improvements.
Financial Liaison: Act as a bridge between the IT function and the finance function. Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting while maintaining the integrity of accounts.
Strategic Governance: Uphold corporate policies and processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Review complex topics and liaise with Group Reporting to ensure proper recognition.
Innovative Mindset: Participate actively in discussions surrounding functional cost allocation models, bringing transparency and efficiency to the business units. You'll also play an integral role in streamlining operations by providing insightful TCO calculations.
What You Bring
Expertise: A university degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, or equivalent, coupled with a minimum of 4 years' experience in similar business-partnering finance functions, ideally with experience of IT controlling specifically.
Analytical Prowess: Your strong analytical skills and familiarity with key accounting principles (IFRS) and systems (SAP) will empower you to provide valuable insights.
Adaptive Leadership: You transition seamlessly between high-level strategic thinking and detailed analysis, making complex concepts easily digestible for diverse audiences.
Effective Communication: Fluent in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, you effortlessly convey complex financial information and ideas.
Solution-Oriented: You're not just a problem solver; you're a results-driven, self-starter with a passion for getting things done.
