Job Description

- Direct one or more technical "tiger" teams to rapidly create and deploy technical solutions to business opportunities and challenges:
- Rapidly respond to new business opportunities with: Functional Prototypes, Product Demonstrations, Proof of Concept Solutions, and Production implementations
- Creates, recommends and advances overall IT technical and innovative capabilities for use across all teams (e.g. Reusable Components, COTS Product Analysis and Recommendations, Technical Frameworks, Architectural Strategies, etc.)
- Develop and recommend "make versus buy" strategy to maximize Department efficiency
- Actively participate with Leidos QTC Health Services and Leidos business development along with IT and Business stakeholders on Request for Information, Request for Proposal and overall shaping of opportunities within new and existing clients
- Provide technology vision and leadership for advancing software development and/or integration initiatives, improving cost effectiveness, service quality and business development in a constantly changing environment
- Champion product and technological development contributions to the strategic technology and product portfolio roadmap
- Execute systems engineering management processes to assure security and integrity of data systems; provide administrative guidance and controls ensuring availability and productivity
- Oversee cost-benefit analysis and prioritization of change requests; identify and escalate potential concerns related to project initiatives and recommend viable solutions
- Ensure collaboration across IT and business senior management, Leidos QTC Health Services and Leidos business development, Leidos QTC Health Services Emerging Operations and other Leidos and client teams as needed
- Responsible for the identification, development and mentoring of mid to senior level technical staff
- Responsible for the development, design and implementation of the AIML/NLP capabilities across LQTC.
- Responsible for creating and managing roadmaps for AIML/NLP enhancements across LQTC.
- Provide interface support between Leidos and QTC teams across AIML/NLP and innovate capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or related field from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education (advanced Degree Preferred)
- Extensive experience driving technical projects from conception to production
- Extensive experience leading/architecting software systems using and modifying COTS, Open Source and Custom-Built solutions for internal and external business customers.
- Working knowledge of software build, packaging, release management, and deployment process
- 10+ years of experience in all aspects of systems engineering, software development and cybersecurity life cycles including but not limited to architecting solutions, designing applications, coding, unit testing and implementing utilizing a variety of tools and technologies.
- 10+ years of experience working with clients and other departments in a matrix environment
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional/leadership experience in a senior-level IT position.
- Current National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation (e.g., public trust, DOD SECRET, etc…) is a plus

Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking an IT Operations Director on our Office of Innovation team. You will be responsible for directing the operations of the IT New Markets and Emerging Technology Team. This position leads overall technical innovation, differentiation, and strategy in support of Leidos QTC Health Services overall goals and objectives. Duties include the creation and execution of a technology roadmap, development of technical solutions for priority captures, management of the research and development portfolio and supporting technical performance and excellence on major programs.
