Responsible for identifying areas of opportunity that will improve operational performance, increase productivity, shorten lead times and reduce costs to improve the organization's ability to meet business requirements.
This includes the identification, analysis, development and recommendations of improvements to operations across the network and towards business customers, in areas of technology, processes and support.
This position needs to interact and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization and will also work in cross-functional teams from concept through post implementation support (plan, build and run).
This position will support the technical and innovative advancements within the logistics organization as follows:
Provides the service delivery of logistics applications and works directly with partner Digital teams and vendors to ensure services meet customer’s needs in line with the agreed service levels.
Participates in governance forums for applications service delivery, both internally and with external service providers as required.
Determines business requirements, develops criteria, quotes and estimates in support of procurement and budget processes.
Develops documentation of business digital policies, technical specifications, flow diagrams and systems documentation.
Performs testing of disaster recovery procedures, coordinates testing with vendors and Digital partners and documents processes for Business Continuity Planning.
Enforces adherence of corporate information security guidelines, information protection programs and supports SOX and related technical audits impacting the organization.
Engages full scope project planning and management including comprehensive scope definition, client communications, cost and impact analysis, resource requirements, project tasks and documentation.
Provides technical input for the design, implementation, performance measurement and support of business enabling technologies.
Develops, sources or contracts application software with appropriate configuration in order to streamline business processes which are not available from other corporate resources.
Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience
OR an associates degree with 6 years of experience
OR a bachelors with at least 3 years of experience
OR Masters with more than 1 year of experience.
Experience in the implementation and support of warehouse automation systems, order fulfillment systems, warehouse WMS, relational databases, ERP systems such as SAP and solid experience with a recognized project management methodology.
Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of Ethernet, WINS, TCP/IP, DNS, 802.11b/g/n/ac wireless.
Experience with, Datalogic, Symbol and Zebra scanner hardware and software, barcode symbologies, and voice recognition technology.
Experienced in working with Windows 10, Apple IOS, Windows 2008r2/2012/2016/2019 Server, Active Directory, MS Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SQL, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visual Studio.
Ability to work in a complex organization with demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with customers, management, team members and vendors.
Ability to work effectively in an environment of constant change.
Motivated individual with strong self-directed capabilities, multi-tasking capability, as well as strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Candidate must be able to work variable hours Mon-Fri and must be available to work weekend and evening hours on an on-call basis for special projects, critical issue resolution and BCAP events as needed.
Certification as a PMP, MCSA, MCSD, and MCSE or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
Experience working with Temperature Monitoring Software and Hardware preferred.
Knowledge of applicable technical standards, techniques, principles, theories, concepts and Pfizer processes and industry practices/standards.
Knowledge of basic leadership principles. Focus is on leading/overseeing defined processes.
Provide solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance. Operates within established HR policies and basic colleague relations guidelines.
Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures. Recommends actions. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy. Administers policies & procedures that affect individual subordinate colleagues and assigned unit only.
Contributes to the completion of specific team objectives and assigned project milestones. Failure to achieve results may cause delays in completion of departmental program objectives. Monitors and manages the efforts of subordinate colleagues to achieve delivery of short-term goals.
Teamwork/Influence: Primarily internal company contacts. Inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters only. May represent department on specific intra-Pfizer projects. May assist in training less experienced team members. Accomplishes daily operational tasks mainly through direct supervision of OTE colleague. Provides assistance and guidance to Site Services as needed.
Time Span of Work: Day-to-day and/or weekly tasks and deliverables. Results can usually be measured on a weekly basis.

What You Will Achieve
