      • This is 100% Remote position.
      • Contract Duration: March 14, 2025 – February 28, 2026
      • Hours: Up to 20 Hours per week (flexible schedule).
      Job Overview:
      The IT Programmer will assist Client's Office of School and Community Nutrition Programs (OSCNP) in analyzing code from the District of Columbia. The purpose is to assess whether Orchard can serve as a potential replacement for the Maryland Accountability Reporting System (MARS).

      Responsibilities &Tasks:
      • Code Analysis &Review
        • Review and analyze the provided code for efficiency, maintainability, and readability.
        • Identify any issues, inefficiencies, or potential improvements in the existing code.
      • Debugging &Troubleshooting
        • Diagnose and resolve bugs in the system.
        • Work with key stakeholders to understand issues and implement solutions.
      • Code Optimization
        Improve performance and scalability of the codebase.
        • Ensure code follows best practices for optimization.
      • Documentation
        • Create technical documentation outlining analysis findings.
        • Document changes made to the code and recommend improvements.
      • Coding & Implementation
        • Push code updates to the testing environment.
        • Verify intended functionality and modify code as needed based on OSCNP requirements.


      Requirements

      Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory Requirements):
      • Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
      Minimum 5 years of experience in:
      • Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications using C# and .NET framework.
      • Working with MySQL, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
      • Integrating databases with applications and developing stored procedures & functions.
      Preferred Qualification:
      • Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS certification is preferred).
