      IT Project Manager

      Permanent

      Location: Edinburgh, Peterborough, or Witham

      Closing date: 25th October 2023

We know our staff have busy lives and commitments outside work, so we work flexibly where possible and have a hybrid approach to office working, which includes a minimum of 2 days per week being spent in the office.

People are living longer than ever before, and we’re excited by the opportunities this brings. As a purpose-led business, we’re focused on supporting our customers as they navigate through new stages of their lives and all the moments that matter. We’re here for everyone who wants to make the most of their time on the planet and leave it a little better than they found it – however grand or humble their ambitions.

We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments.

We are on the lookout for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Capability Development Manager, the IT Project Manager will play a vital role in delivering initiatives designed to transform and enhance our business with key focus on achieving exceptional customer outcomes through the delivery of an exciting and varied Change Portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include the management of several initiatives within a large portfolio of approved regulatory and discretionary projects to meet identified business needs whilst acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills within the agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality. You will work closely with mentors, Senior Project Managers and Portfolio Managers to seek support and guidance as required.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

      • Excellent understanding and knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry

      • Experience of delivering change through a project management lifecycle within an Agile environment

      • Knowledge of applied project management, delivery and planning principles that includes scoping, requirements, testing and business readiness

      • Knowledge of project budget management processes that includes how to conduct regular re-forecasting, tracking variance, and the impact of change control

      • Strong business influencing and decision-making skills that achieve early resolution of key decisions and remove conflict from the project

      • Successful and proven relationship management skills that enable complex project problems to be communicated to key stakeholders in an accessible and engaging way

It’d also be great – but not essential - if you’ve got:

      • Relevant project management qualification(s), Agile specific would be preferred

      • Experience contributing to, and achieving, continuous improvement goals

      What’s in it for you?

      • A competitive salary from £49,400 – £74,100, depending on the experience you can bring

      • A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%

      • A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance

      • 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)

We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our staff live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
