      Duration: 6-month contract with possible renewal based on project needs
      Compensation: $55- $62hr
      Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US
      • Mon- Fri 8am-5pm
      • 8-hour day shift | Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
      Job Summary
      We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the full platform redesign of the Flood Warning System. This role requires a highly skilled project management professional with a proven track record of managing technical projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills and have deep experience with application implementations, Agile methodologies, and cross-functional team coordination.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Lead and oversee the complete redesign of the Flood Warning System platform.
      • Plan, execute, and manage all phases of the application platform redesign project.
      • Define project goals and manage associated tasks and timelines.
      • Collaborate with internal project teams and cross-functional departments within the Flood Control District (FCD).
      • Engage with and manage SaaS vendors as needed.
      • Clearly communicate project status, risks, and issues to executive leadership.
      • Utilize JIRA and Agile methodologies to manage project boards and daily standups.
      • Work proactively with project teams to identify, mitigate, and resolve challenges.
      • Apply PMBOK methodologies and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
      Required Qualifications
      • 5–7 years of experience managing application product implementations.
      • Deep understanding of technical platforms and project governance.
      • Proven ability to interact with senior business owners and stakeholders.
      • Demonstrated experience using Agile frameworks and JIRA.
      • Proficiency in PMBOK project management principles and practices.
      • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
      • Strong record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within scope.
      Performance Metrics:
      • Timely and accurate delivery of project schedules and required deliverables.
      • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication.
      • Identification and mitigation of project risks to prevent delays.
      • Successful project completion according to approved schedules and business expectations.
