      7-Eleven is seeking an IT Project Manager to join the IT Project Management Office (PMO) within the IT Strategy and Governance Department at 7-Eleven's Headquarters in Irving, Texas. This role will be responsible for managing the technical aspects for several high-profile projects a part of 7-Eleven's Value Chain Initiative. The IT Project Manager will maintain cross-functional alignment across all internal and external project stakeholders to ensure that projects are successfully delivered and meet budget, schedule, and scope/quality goals.

      The candidate must have exceptional project management skills, technical acumen, and proven experience in delivering large-scale technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, including procurement, transportation, warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment.

      This role will report to the Senior Manager of IT PMO and is located on site at 7-Eleven's Headquarters in Irving, Texas.


      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

      • Bachelor's degree or 4-year degree required, master’s degree preferred
      • Minimum of 4-years of experience in technical project management
      • Proven experience in successfully delivering large-scale and complex technology projects
      • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Project Management software (e.g., Smartsheet)
      • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is not required but preferred
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Proven ability to effectively interact and influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
      • Experience with distribution centers, warehouse management systems, order management systems, transportation management systems, yard management systems, inventory management systems, procurement and forecasting systems is not required but preferred

      Key Duties and Responsibilities
      • Provide leadership to the IT project team, fosters a positive team environment, and provides direction in ambiguous situations.
      • Develop, manage, and maintain all project management artifacts (schedule, budget, RAID log, status reports, resource allocation, etc.).
      • Ensure project schedule accounts for upstream and downstream dependencies.
      • Manage the relationship between IT and the business for the project.
      • Maintain a strong customer focus while coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and IT resources by using effective verbal and written communication skills.
      • Utilizes negotiation skills to influence and creatively achieve successful outcomes around scope, schedule, budget, issues, risks, and resources for both internal and external stakeholders.
      • Proactively exercises initiative in identifying, tracking, and removing impediments to program success. Approaches risk identification and mitigation, accordingly, including establishing contingency plans and initiating corrective action.
      • Understands how individual project workstreams affect the overall project and exercises judgment in raising issues and risks to the executives.
      • Arbitrates and resolves conflicts within the program when necessary. Understands appropriate paths and methods for escalation.
      • Contribute to continuous improvement of IT PMO service offerings, processes, and tools.
