      POSITION SUMMARY

      The NAACP is seeking an IT Salesforce, Certified Developer to serve as the primary resource for Salesforce administration and development needs. This position requires a thorough understanding of user workflow and the ability to effectively determine appropriate improvements. The IT Salesforce, Certified Developer participates in development projects with internal and external resources to ensure business needs are met in a timely and effective manner.


      RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

      • Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce environment;
      • Perform Salesforce administrator functions: user creation and maintenance, customization of profiles, security settings, data sharing rules, tasks, email service and page layout, among other functions;
      • Oversee governance of the Salesforce platform;
      • Understand client requirements and how they translate into application features;
      • Create technical plans and strategies for other departments and the IT team, develop solutions to address any Association-wide issues;
      • Conduct workshops for other teams to gain a detailed understanding of requirements and identify any gaps in the current system;
      • Establish technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code;
      • Design and develop applications, integrations, and custom enhancements with an emphasis on clean, highly efficient, well-documented code in compliance with company processes and policies;
      • Progress and maintain workflow rules, validation rules, and custom scalable workflows;
      • Identify opportunities for optimization, redesign, or development within the platform;
      • Work with internal business groups and external consultants to optimize implementation, continued development, redesigns, and enhancements; and
      • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the IT Salesforce, Director, or other designees.


      QUALIFICATIONS

      Education/Professional Experience

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred;
      • Minimum three years of experience as a Salesforce coordinator or administrator;
      • Minimum three years of development experience with Salesforce;
      • Salesforce Developer certifications required;
      • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption;
      • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity;
      • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality;
      • Strong data management abilities;
      • Documented history of successfully driving projects to completion;
      • Experience with nonprofit processes preferred;
      • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred;
      • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex concepts clearly and concisely;
      • Demonstrated strong organizational skills, including a strong emphasis on attention to detail in all aspects of assigned duties;
      • Knowledge of Salesforce architecture; and
      • Proficiency with Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, Relational Databases, and JavaScript.
