      IT Service Support Analyst 3

      Department:

      Veterinary Medicine | College Administration

      The IT Service Support Analyst serves on Hospital Information Systems Team within the Veterinary Information Systems Team. This position will work with the HIS team on a variety of projects that involve supporting the newly implemented electronic medical record, laboratory information system and other supporting integrations/software.

      Serves as front line support for HIS related hardware and software. Works directly with the Veterinary Information Systems HIS team to troubleshoot, communicate and resolve issues related to equipment used in the Medical Center system. Works directly with the HIS team on a daily basis to determine priority on issues that need to be addressed, update/maintain knowledge base documentation and work on a variety of projects/implementations.

      · Demonstrated desire to help people (success on a past service desk position, or something similar) required

      · Experience with Zebra/label printers - strongly desired (this includes knowledge of languages like ZPL or EPL)

      · Experience with medical IT (including labs, radiology) preferred

      · Interfacing technologies expertise (HL7, ASTM-1394, Mirth Connect, etc.) preferred

      · Experience with Linux preferred

      · Basic knowledge of good security practices and a concern for security preferred

      · Experience with Health Information Systems/Laboratory Information Systems, account creation and general troubleshooting

      Experience or knowledge supporting desktop computers running Windows, Mac OS or both in a network environment.

      Ability to work as part of a team and take the initiative to work independently. Ability to maintain and manage information and documentation in an organized, systematic way. Professional experience providing customer service. Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience working with healthcare information systems.
