      The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support for the PNG office and vessels. This includes troubleshooting hardware, software, and network related issues ensuring smooth IT operations for both onshore and offshore users.

      The role requires a blend of general IT knowledge and understanding of maritime communication systems, ensuring that the IT infrastructure on vessels is robust and meets our 24/7 operational needs.

      Only candidates with extensive skills and 5+ years' experience will be considered for this role.

      Job-Specific Skills/Attributes:

      • Strong knowledge of hardware, software and network troubleshooting.
      • Experience managing LAN & WAN infrastructure.
      • Familiarity with Fortinet firewall, Aruba Switches and Wi-Fi Access point or equivalent technologies
      • Ability to diagnose and resolve IT problems independently and quickly, especially in a remote high-pressure vessel environment.
      • Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical users.
      • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
      • Exposure to maritime IT systems such as ECDIS, VSAT, Iridium, Starlink and fleet management software (TM Master/ NSE) is a plus
      • Willingness to travel periodically to vessels and remote offices as required.
      • Availability for on-call support during emergencies, including vessel IT issues.
