Job Summary
James Avery is seeking a Temporary IT Support Technician for a 6-month duration to support daily operations and various deployment projects. You will contribute to ensuring that our end users have fully functional and optimized computer systems by assisting with imaging, shipping and setting up computers and other desktop support tasks.
Essential Functions
•Imaging Computers: Follow documented procedures for imaging and configuring computers according to company standards. Ensure software installations, updates, and security protocols are implemented.
•Shipping and Logistics: Coordinate the shipping of computers to designated locations following established protocols. Track shipments and provide shipping information to relevant parties.
•End User Interaction: Collaborate with end users to understand specific requirements and preferences. Provide on-site support to end users for computer setup using well-documented procedures.
•Documentation: Maintain accurate records of computer configurations, shipping details, and end user interactions. Document and report any issues or discrepancies during the imaging and setup process.
•Technical Support: Address end user queries and issues promptly and professionally. Utilize technical ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software problems.
•Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
•Performs additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
•High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Basic technical ability and an eagerness to learn.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
•May be required to travel to various work locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
•Technical certification or relevant coursework.
•IT Support experience.
Monday through Friday 8-5 (Temporary 6 Month Position)
