Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Systems Administrator with a strong background in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT systems administration, with a focus on cloud-based solutions and infrastructure management. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and maintain complex IT environments.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Application Management: Install, configure, and patch a wide range of applications on servers, workstations and mobile devices.
• Automation and Scripting: Utilize automation tools and scripting languages to streamline system administration tasks and improve efficiency.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and proactively resolve problems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous service availability.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• User Support: Provide tier-2/3 infrastructure support, perform root cause analysis, and ensure resolution of escalated technical issues. Tier 1 support will be required ad-hoc.
• Networking: Configure and maintain Azure networking components including virtual networks, NSGs, VPN gateways, route tables, private endpoints, and hybrid connectivity with on-prem environments.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Azure Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 10+ years Technologist, well versed in IT products services and implementation. Embraces change and is an outside the box thinker.
• 10+ years of experience in IT systems administration, with a focus on Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security. Proficient in scripting with PowerShell and in working with Microsoft Graph API for automation and integration tasks.
• 8+ years of experience providing Level 2/3 IT Support experience, well versed in SLA fulfillment, ticketing and escalation.
• 8+ years of experience and advanced knowledge of Office 365 implementation and support. Exchange Online, Intune MDM, Proven SAML enterprise application experience, Entra ID and conditional access.
• Experience working in an Architecture, Engineering, or Construction company is a huge plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Cloud certifications) are a plus.

The hiring pay range for this role is anticipated to be $115,000-$140,000 dependent upon experience and location. This position is classified as salaried, exempt.

For this particular position, we expect to hire near the middle of the range. To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates with at least 10 years of experience in IT systems administration, and Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Cloud certifications) are a plus.

We understand that there may be rare and exceptional circumstances where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position. In these cases, we may consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
