IT Technician
Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service to residents and team members by supporting the installation, operation, and maintenance of Fox Hill community technology.
Manage work orders submitted to our help desk, contact our residents to set up site visits if necessary, and complete all work orders within the timeframes indicated in our published service level agreement.
Provide audiovisual support for events occurring across the campus.
Assist the IT Director in the completion of projects in the annual project schedule as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education of HS Diploma or GED, associates or bachelors degree in Information Technology or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 6 months – 1 year of IT help-desk experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. Experience with country club or luxury hotel/resort desired.
- Must have strong customer service skills, with an emphasis on people-focused care, patience, empathy, and the ability to take the initiative to consistently exceed the expectations of the customer; must enjoy working with seniors.
-Strong computer troubleshooting skills, must be able to troubleshoot and repair a variety of issues on PC, Mac, ios and Android devices.
- Strong audio-visual skills, including cable TV/streaming component hookup, diagnostics and trouble shooting
- Ability to cut and terminate custom lengths of CAT5 (RJ45), CAT6, RJ11 and coaxial (BNC) cables
- Some familiarity with sound mixing boards, microphones, signal flow and sound mixing.
- Basic Understanding of IP phones and SIP telephony
- Basic understanding of radio frequency (RF) technologies
- Basic understanding of computer networking, TCP/IP, switching, routing and wireless networking
- Familiarity with popular email applications like Outlook, Mac Mail, Google mail.
- Familiarity with popular productivity software, including Microsoft Word and Google Apps
- Has the ability to learn new skills, technology and applications as needed
- Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours
- Ability to work a flexible schedule according to the business needs and priorities, which may include nights and weekends
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities under pressure
- Possess strong written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability and desire to take initiative and get things done with little supervision
- Committed to excellence with all aspects of job performance
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must be able to work well on a team
- Comptia A+ or Network+ certificate preferred, but not required
