      Job Description

      iA Financial Group is looking for a versatile hybrid IT technician to primarily provide on-site user support at the office as well as user support related to the technologies available at the iA office in Toronto. This position includes support for workstations, IT accessories, mobile devices, printing services, event support, and operation of the broadcast room. An interest in broadcast room technologies and audiovisual is necessary.

      Responsibilities:

      On-site user support:

      • Assist users, gather their feedback, and provide relevant advice on best practices for using tools and technologies.

      • Diagnose issues, maintain the relationship with the requester by ensuring regular follow-up, and make every effort to reach a conclusion without escalation.

      • Respond to assistance requests from users of the information technologies under their responsibility.

      IT equipment management:

      Perform handling, installation, and configuration activities for IT, mobile, and audiovisual equipment and ensure data and documentation updates.

      Participate in supply management (receiving and storing materials and maintaining the storage and assembly area in good condition).

      Event support:

      • Install, operate, and dismantle audiovisual equipment (sound, projection, lighting) during corporate events.

      • Provide user support during events and assist organizers and presenters.

      • Be the main point of contact in Toronto for the audiovisual team to co-host in-person and remote events.

      Broadcast room technologies and audiovisual:

      • Provide technical support in the rooms directly on-site or remotely

      • Ensure the maintenance and enhancement of equipment in the rooms

      • Follow up with suppliers, installation, and quality assurance after installation

      Desired Profile:

      • Strong skills in service, human relations, continuous improvement, and collaboration by phone or in person

      • Excellent knowledge of office tools and applications (hardware, software, online)

      • Education: College diploma (e.g., DEC or AEC) in computer science or equivalent. Any relevant experience and/or technical training will be considered

      • Minimum experience: 2 to 5 years in audiovisual

      • Good knowledge of computers, Windows, and Mac

      • Bilingual in French with solid verbal and written communication skills

      Assets:

      • Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, LEAN methodologies

      • Knowledge of videoconferencing technologies and equipment (Cisco devices, Microsoft Teams Room platform, WebEx Control Hub, and CVI)

      • Knowledge of audiovisual equipment (consoles, microphones, home automation, etc.)

      • Crestron programming

      • Knowledge in the insurance or financial field
