      Job Profile Summary:

      The IT Trainer delivers information technology training to all FHCSD employees involved with COVID-19 Testing and COVID-19 Vaccine administration and distribution.

      Job Roles

      • Training is provided in both a classroom and in-clinic settings, for groups and for individuals.
      • Responsible for training CMISM, EHR, Patient portal and other products related to areas that support COVID-19 Testing and COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard.
      • Responsible in creating, modifying, and maintaining user guides for products related to COVID-19 Testing and COVID-19 Vaccine administration and distribution.
      • Support Dev, Stage, QA Product Release Management as needed.
      • Train Staff, communicate changes in all Products and support the Dev/QA Team as needed.
      • Continually seeks to improve training programs and processes to adapt to user needs related to COVID-19 Testing and COVID-19 Vaccine administration and distribution.
      • Assess learner performance and competence. Monitors, evaluates, and reviews the quality, effectiveness, and user satisfaction with training.
      • Communicates learner experiences back to software developers for improvement.
      • Completes all required documentation and records accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards.
      • Develops training materials and programs. Designs or identifies course materials (individual/classroom/eLearning) and documentation in supporting users related to COVID-19 Testing and COVID-19 Vaccine administration and distribution.
      • Collaborates with assigned departments to complete training needs analysis and to develop training to address specific needs related to COVID-19 Testing and COVID-19 Vaccine administration and distribution.
      • Establishes schedules and delivery of training to best meet the needs of learners.
      • Grant funded program. This position is funded through 03/31/2023; continuation of employment is dependent upon availability of and/or renewed funding.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations

      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
      • Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.
      • Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No more than 2 violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 7 years.

      Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)

      • 2 years of experience in information systems and end user assistance .
      • Ability to clearly communicate computer concepts to users of all computer literacy levels, to effectively perform user assistance and training.
      • Ability to cope and manage change, and to assist others in doing the same.
      • Ability to multi-task, be flexible, ensure accuracy, and meet changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-workload environment.
      • Bilingual in English/ Spanish preferred.
      • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with employees with a wide range of technology skills.
      • Knowledge of adult education techniques, practices, and tools specifically related to technology training.
      • Knowledge of Internet technologies; Desktop Technology; Health Care Information Technologies.

      25.74 - 36.81

      If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
