- Minimum 2-4 years experience with ITS and traffic signal work
- College degree from an accredited University preferred
- Must be proficient in Excel with the ability to troubleshoot spreadsheets accurately
- Must possess a sense of urgency to manage e-mails with suppliers and customers efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Purchasing Management. Meet with suppliers and assist with setting up new accounts. Negotiate price reductions and quantity discounts while maintaining a positive relationship. Issue purchase orders based on required project schedules in the company ECM system. Confirm project quantity requirements using the latest plan sets. Coordinate and order daily materials requested by project managers. Understand project specific material standards and specifications. Utilize online construction management platforms. Manage material submittals and maintain copies of approved items. Keep project managers informed of material lead times. Request and provide owners with any required material certifications.
Accounting support. Maintain purchase order log for access to job costs. Review and approve all invoices with correct job cost information on the company ECM system. Review and approve all subcontractor pay estimates with support from project managers. Provide monthly material accrual forecast to accounting. Provide and maintain monthly billing for all projects to accounts receivable. Compile force account billing for any additional work.
Project Management. Assist Project managers daily. Create pay estimates for each project based on contract requirements. Meet with project managers monthly to compile quantities and complete pay estimates for each project. Responsible for maintaining pay estimates. Update pay estimates with any change orders and time and material work capturing all completed project work. Manage multiple online billing platforms. Point of contact in the office for addressing field crew needs. Troubleshoot any unexpected problems with materials utilizing shop drawings and plan requirements. Logistical support for all project material requirements. Assist with scheduling officers and traffic control. Assist with ordering concrete. Attend preconstruction meetings as needed to support project managers with information related to materials, suppliers, and lead times.
