Job Search Category Student Employee Position DescriptionAdvertised Job Summary Student Technicians are a vital part of the ITS team. Much of their time is spent at the ITS Help Desk, troubleshooting various computer problems over the phone, in person, and via e-mail. Student Techs perform repairs on personal laptops bought through USC Upstate’s recommended program, operate the laptop rental program, and assist ITS staff in the field with work orders.Qualifications Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and Apple Computers and Tablets. They must also be able to use all parts of the Office 365 system; particularly e-mail and OneDrive. Candidates need to have a basic understanding of how a computer works and be able to define the basic function of individual pieces of computer hardware. Experience with spyware and virus removal is a plus.
