- Perform basic administrative duties: Engage in essential office tasks such as scanning documents, filing records, and typing correspondence.
- Pack and organize medication orders: Prepare final medication orders by packing them into delivery totes, ensuring accuracy and readiness for delivery.
- Process departmental charges: Handle all charges generated by the department, utilizing medication profiles, individual charge cards, and floor stock forms.
- Type departmental correspondence: Produce all written communications for the department, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Receive and direct phone calls: Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate individual, providing efficient communication.
- Establish and maintain files: Organize and preserve office and general files for the department, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Provide receptionist duties: Welcome visitors, offer information or obtain requested details, or refer them to the appropriate department member.
- Distribute mail: Sort and distribute incoming mail to the relevant recipients within the department.
- Pharmacy technician certification.
- Experience in retail pharmacy.
- Compounding skills.
- IV experience.
- 6 months of experience.
- Sterile compounding experience is highly preferred but not required.
- IV experience is highly preferred but not required.
- Registered with Ohio; national certification is preferred but not required.

IV Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform basic administrative duties such as scanning, filing, and typing, as well as pack and organize final medication orders for delivery. Maintaining excellent attendance and staying on task throughout the day are critical for success in this role. You will also contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed and processing all charges generated by the department.

Work Environment
This role will start as part-time but will transition to full-time. The work schedule is flexible with a preference for someone to work on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Weekends are rotated, with a requirement of at least once a month, but ideally every other weekend. The start time is between 2-4pm, with shifts either from 2:00pm to 8:00pm or 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The pharmacy fills around 1400 prescriptions a day, using robots for some tasks, but expect to fill about 30 prescriptions an hour manually. This is a national, closed-door, long-term care pharmacy business.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
