Janitorial Associate (5:00pm - 12:00am work shift)Must be 18 years old or older to applyStarting Pay Rate $15.55
Perks:Zoo perks include free admission to the Zoo, eight complimentary tickets per year to give to friends and family and discounts on food, merchandise, attractions, admission, and programs.Summary:This position is responsible for the daily custodial (janitorial) services of Zoo grounds and buildings.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Maintaining cleanliness and appearance of exhibit buildings, staff offices, restrooms, Zoo grounds and dumpster areas• Assist in maintaining custodial equipment• Assist with recycling program• Support and assist with special events and after-hours functions as requiredQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older• Ability to work 5 days a week, including weekends• Must have knowledge of janitorial techniques and equipment and possess skills to operate small equipment• Possess basic knowledge of various cleaning chemicals used in janitorial areas• Valid driver license with acceptable motor vehicle record to maintain zoo standards of insurabilityEducation and/or Experience:• 1-2 years experience in janitorial fieldPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
