  Janitorial Supervisor to oversee custodial staff and ensure the cleanliness, will lead by example, enforce safety standards, and coordinate daily cleaning operations to maintain a high standard of hygiene and appearance throughout the building.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of janitorial staff across assigned shifts or locations.
  • Inspect and evaluate cleaning tasks to ensure high-quality results and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor new custodial staff on proper cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory and coordinate with vendors or management for replenishments.
  • Prepare and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and workflow efficiency.
  • Address and resolve staff performance issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (OSHA standards, MSDS, etc.).
  • Assist in hands-on cleaning duties, cover during staffing shortages or emergencies.

  Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in janitorial or custodial management is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in janitorial services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

  Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and operating janitorial equipment.
